I spent time exploring different reference materials for the log in screen art. Various references were gathered for space, galactic, mechs, acidic rain effects, etc. I also spent some time reviewing photoshop tutorials\
Created a sketch of a mech idea and have begun to create different scenes for the login. I am posting these tonight to illicit feedback. I will definately go more BATTLE oriented as well with the next few i hope to post tomorrow.
Discussed splash screen ideas with James and researched comic styles and other references. Checked out competitor splash screen styles and formulated a concept that I believe will best portray the game introduction. Sketched ideas to pursue and will be working material into photoshop later tonight as well as tomorrow.
continued to research different comic application styles to gather references for splash screen. Want to work the comic look into the main login screen which is the third of the initial screens the gameplayer will see when initiating the game.
The button will be completed within the next day or so. I attempted several looks for this "button" to play into a hangar atmosphere in which i'm trying to build the flowchart information and set it up according to the example given. Still playing with the larger matrix of design but will have physical button by tomorrow night hopefully.
After concluding the meeting, I continued to troubleshoot my PC issues and was able to successfully reset the system. Began researching brushes and programs available to enhance the Curator Image. Have a direction to proceed and will begin productivity of the "ink" like logo. Continuing to do research on references for other options as well.
produced a screen with both splash option as well as login option. The text is interchangeable and both options are shown. This piece is more of a graphic novel approach to the same concept. Will continue to work on it as well as hopefully produce more options once feedback is received
Did more research on apcalyptic style surrealist imagery as an option to try for splash screen.. I was thinking that this could be something to represent the time that has past between where we are now, and where we are wanting to set this game up. Sans Mech in the splash and more focused on the destruction which causes our race and others to depend on mechs in the future to procure resources.
submitted wireframes through leaderboard, am continuing to work on these as quickly as possible. the SECOND version of each download is the corrected one. Nothing necessarily different material wise, simply deleted a border in Word that was unnecessary.
